I have had this happen twice now.  I am editing a page control adding images and changing parms.   I do an update and when it pops out,  things go haywire.

The edit page options is there but you cannot click on it.  Nor anything in that entire Dnn menu.  As I mouse over, the highlight changes, so the menu knows is responding to mouse over.   Also, the bar with Login, superuser, etc. are all gone, missing.  The page is working as in the controls are displaying images.  All other pages are ok.  Logging out and back in doesn't help, and I am using a superuser login.  I checked the page options and do not see anything that I recognize as being out of whack.

So, I will go delete the page and rebuild it again.  But If there is something dumb that I am doing, I sure would like to know what.  Or how to correct.

Just to be clear.. Im not doing any JS, or HTML, or anything to cause a coding problem.  Just opening up Settings or configuration on a module.

New install  DNN7.0.2   two weeks.

Hi Cathal

Well, you have already helped. I had not looked at the Admin event viewer. This just occurred again today. There is nothing in the logs that looks like an issue.

I think that it is a Carousel module causing the problem. It has only happened on a page where I am using one of this vendors controls. But that and home page are about the only ones that I have created yet. Most are just stubs. Once it happens, it's permanent. I have to delete and rebuild the page.

And, it happened again today, so this page, 3 times. At least I am consistent and repeatable.

Ill post back if I get some more information or a solution

Thank you

that would make sense, in that usually the reason for a page to not correctly render is some bad html or javascript (e.g. an unclosed tag). I'd suggest you open the debugging tools on your browser of choice (usually press F12, or use firebug if you're a firefox user), and switch to console menu. That will show if there are javascript exceptions. DNN recently updated to use jquery 1.9.1, and this has caused a few script issues on old modules/skins as the jquery team choose to remove some legacy support (they flagged this with a few years notice, but some old items have been caught out)
