Hello,
I'd like to ask the more experienced colleagues a simple question. Imagine, that you want to install a forum on your DNN portal. Which module would you use for that? The DNN forum, Active forum, or YAF? Thanks in advance for your ideas.

DNN forum hasn't been updated for a long time and had been sunsetted a couple of years ago (although it is still used here)

I am planning to try YAF myself soon. Based on its features I read, it's the most actively maintained and has the most features. I am just concerned about how it works inside DNN because it's a stand-alone ASP.NET forum software and not built specifically for DNN.

I haven't tried it yet, but just the fact, that the integration has been implemented by Ingo Herbote (the Watcher), who was nominated for DNN MVP due to his great additions (TagCloud, CKEditor and many more) and is a core team member of YAF.net as well, makes me confident that it has been implemented with deep knowledge.

Sebastian and Tony, thank you for your opinions. YAF is available as a DNN module too (except for the ASP.NET version).

I didn't have the opportunity to try it yet. I also found some information about potential continuing of the DNN Forums project.
