In DNN 6 API Changes from http://www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki/page/dotnetnuke-6-developer-quick-start it states "DotNetNuke.Entities.Portals.PortalSettings.TimeZoneOffset property is marked as Obsolete. Replaced by DotNetNuke.Entities.Portals.PortalSettings.TimeZone property."

 Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to work (no Timezone property on PortalSettings).  I have searched in vain for another way to get the Timezone offset that is set in the portal.  I assume the Microsoft TimeZone functions have no access to the Portal settings.

Anybody know of another way to find what's set in the portal settings with regard to time zone offset?

Thanks,

Bill

I just checked the source code, there is a TimeZone property in PortalSettings of type TimeZoneInfo.
Instead of using deprecated property TimeZoneOffset, you may calculate it yourself, as it simply returns Convert.ToInt32(TimeZone.BaseUtcOffset.TotalMinutes);
