Hello all,
I put enablePasswordRetrieval="false" and enablePasswordReset="false" in my webconfig, but

a) the login page still shows the password recovery button, while in site admin it is shown as disabled

b) I get access errors with active dirctory if enablePasswordRetrieval=false, is this normal?

you don't change the enablePasswordRetrieval/enablePasswordReset values - by changing the resx what you're doing is changing the text that is sent for a reset -DNN doesn't support retrieval anymore, so this is somewhat of a "hack" to repurpose reset text to the "old" password retrieval values
