After upgrading to 7.02.02 new registered users are receiving an email that looks like below... is there a way to turn this off?

there always used to be a registration confirmation, you can edit the text in Admin > Languages, select pen to edit static resources in column "host" or "website".
In default file, look for keys EMAIL_USER_REGISTRATION...
