Hello,

I've realized lately that I'd like to do a lot more customization of the edit profile page. That got me thinking about the current "Profile" design where the "Edit Profile" components are all basically in a control that's part of the "View Profile" module.

I think it would be really nice if there were an independent "Edit Profile" module that had four different definitions: Edit Account, Change Password, Manage Subscriptions, and Edit Profile.

If that were the design, then users/administrators could have much more flexibility in the design of their profile pages. That also would indirectly address a number of other issues: hiding some of those components, designing/styling them differently, and adding custom modules to the profile pages. But, we could also recreate the design of the current profile page if we want.

Do others agree? Is there any hope of getting something like that in DNN? In my ignorance, I would think it would be pretty easy to create that module because it would just be breaking up pieces of the existing module. For backwards compatibility, DNN could leave the "View Profile" module as is and just create a new "Edit Profile" one.

Mike

I agree and the module should already been composed of multiple controls you may re-use
