Yay... Take Me to the Community!

(I am cross posting with the corresponding Community Voice item)

Several users have voiced their desire to replace the core forum module uses in the forums here with ActiveForum. Basically I have read 'it's better' without specific reasons. What are the needed features that are in AF which aren't in the core module? If people want more features, isn't Yet Another Forum more feature complete and more actively being developed so why not use that instead?

please be aware that the Forum on this site is quite large and any replacement needs to have at least same performance with same number of forums and posts.
And there needs to be a script for migrating all forums, threads and posts, because no one will be able to tweak or check each post manually.

Cheers from Germany,
