HELP!!!!

DNN 4.3.1 being installed (using the install package) on an Dell 1505 (1GB RAM) running XP Pro, VS2005 Pro, SSExpress and IIS 5.1.

After figuring out the darn web.config and ASPNET permissions the installation works fine upto a point, the package and modules appear to install fine, the databse is updated with tables/SP's, etc, and  then it blows up on the additional scripts part (Create portals).

I'm using the dontnetnuke.install.config file. So what have I missed? Suggestions please.

I've not seen that error before personally, but judging from the output of the script (before the error) it bombed when creating the actual portal.  This looks like you may have given permissions to the root folder, but not to the folders under it - namely the portals folder may not have full control set for ASPNET account.  Double check that.

I have seen posts about the error - thread aborted, and I believe it is due to timeout.  Search on thread aborted or Thread was being aborted.

I'd double check that ASPNET has all permissions on all folders in the site, then research the error - unless someone else can chime in.  (but check the permissions just to be triple sure - I spent days my first three installs constantly tripping up on permissions).
