Good Morning,

I'm building an extension to read data from a sql table and compose an email.

The problem is that in this table I have an "Image" field where i store pdf or docx files, and I need to attach this file in the email (only one file per email).

When using the email funcion:
DotNetNuke.Services.Mail.Mail.SendMail
I can't attach the file reading from the sql table.

The method wants the attachment as a string.

I tried to search for internet but I didn't find a clear solution for this issue, can someone help me please?

Thank you very much

the method requires either the path of the file or "fileID=123" for files stored inside the DNN portal folder.
You should stay away from storing files in the database for performance reasons.

Hi
Try to save the file in the project folder. Get the uploaded file path using Server.MapPath(). use the path for creating Attachment object and use that in the SendMail function.

Thanks,
