I think I may have posted my reply twice, the first time the whole thing went opaque then back to normal, but the message had disappeared but wasn't on the thread, and the second time exactly the same - confusing.

I'm NOT a fan of Web Matrix. I feel it attempts to hide or auto install things that I care to know. That may be OK for some people but I guess I like granular control of eveything.

My recommendation would be to install a local version for development purposes. Develop and test using this copy and then upload/install to your production install once complete and approved.

If you know the basics of Windows, IIS and setting up web sites, get the install version of DNN and install it locally. Then go get Chris' module template as it does a lot of work for you:
