Is there a way to make the Text/Html module use a html template file instead of storing the content into DB?

Or does anyone have knowledge of a custom module that does this? I've looked over the DNN Forge and DNN Store but I couldn't find anything that seems to have this functionality.

And i'm not referring to skins, i'm referring to the unique content of each page that goes within the main content pane.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean. You can store an HTML template from within the rich text editor.

Can you perhaps elaborate a bit more on your question?

My bad I should have said "Is there a way to make the Text/Html module read content from a html template file instead of reading it from the DB?"

The html template from the rich text editor answers the storing part, however the problem is if i edit the .html file with let's say, Notepad++, the changes won't be reflected into the website until I login as admin, go to "template manager" in the rich text editor, and insert the file.

Basically I want to be able to make content-only changes on my DNN website without involving the DataBase. The reason for this is allowing multiple developers to work with local versioned copies of the website while sharing a common database.

In the end I'll probably have to develop a module that does this myself, but I just want to make sure first i'm not reinventing the wheel.

if you want to change content w/o using the database, you might consider not using a CMS.
Developers should have local copies of the website to create modules, while you may use hidden pages to propare content onsite.
