Hi,

Worked on the site yesterday and everything was fine. Went to log in today and instead of asking for UserName and Password it requested Email Address and Password. Put the email address in associated with host account but password is wrong.

I'm able to access the db with SSMS and the site with VS.

Any way of fixing this?

requiresUniqueEmail="true" and change to false in web.config? (I don't want to screw it up any more than I have, hence I ask)

that attribute is nothing to do with it - what's happened is that someone went to admin->site settings->user account settings and checked "Use Email Address as Username". This value is stored in the PortalSettings table, if you look for a SettingName of "Registration_UseEmailAsUserName"  and change it to "false" that should switch back the default behaviour
