I am new to DNN and I am trying to understand each module.  In Host> Module Definitions is shows that I have version 03.01.12  but most comments show 03.0.12 as being the latest version. I can add albums but when I try to add files they just don't show. 

I enter Name, author, etc. browse for a file,  Add it and all of my other information disappears.  I reenter it and say upload.  Nothing shows.

Can someone offer me some guidance?

You might be running into something I ran into when I first started using the Gallery.

You enter all of the metadata for the photo, browse for the photo and then click the add file link.  It looks like everything is gone but it's now listed in a table row to the right of a lable that says pending files.

Once you have added all the files you want there then click the upload link below all of the files you are wanting.

The confusing bit is there is a table right below the upload link that contains all of the photos you currently have in the Gallery.

Thanks Adeian.

It did take me awhile to figure that out.  However even then it seemed as though only jpg's would be uploaded.  I had to back down to 4.0.3 to try to get a hold of the myriade of things that seemed not to work as expected.

I am still having some troubles so I wonder if I am having other problems.

Well there are some problems in general with DNN 4.0.3 and the previous version of the Gallery (03.01.11) had some problems working under that version.

You could try running DNN 4.0.3 with the Gallery version 03.01.12 and I think it should work.  03.01.12 is just a few fixes that needed to be made to make it more compatible with DNN 4 and fixed some namespace issues.

I've just started playing around with the 4.3.1 and 3.3.1 DNN versions and there is something wierd with the way files are being handled.  That could be some of your problem.  I'm hoping they are fixed with the 3.3.2 and 4.3.2 versions.

Thanks Paul,

I am going to rebuild from a fresh 4.0.3 version this weekend and I will try your suggestion of upgrading the gallery module.
