Hi,

yarq Yet Another Rookie Question. (I don't like 'newbie')

1. Before a new user can register on my site they need to select an item from a list on a "pre-register" page. I would then want that data inserted into the register page, in effect hard coded so the user can't make a spelling mistake. I would also be transferring another piece of data that the user wouldn't see.

I am able to do this with other pages, i.e. transfer information from one page to another, but I can't find the "register.aspx" page in order to code it appropriately.

Where's it hiding?

1a. Or is there a way I can have a db driven drop down list added to the register page, or even hard coded for that matter?

2. On the register page I have added two additional fields on top of what's already there. However I can't find any table in the db where these fields appear, hence I can't access that data. This data does show up in the user profile. Figured this one out.

Thanks

Bob

You can add a custom drop down to the registration by going to admin --> site settings --> profile settings. Add the new field, select "list" as the type and I believe page 2 is where you would supply the fields in the list.

If that doesn't work, you may have to create a custom registration module. The DNN API allows you to add user this way and I've had to do this in the past.
