Hi

I have a sites running older (4.6.2 and 4.9.5 ) versions of DNN on Server 2003 R2 and SQL Server 2005 boxes - have new servers available, can these older versions run on Server 2012 R2 and SQL Server 2012 (64 bit for both) ?  IIRC, SQL Server is not a problem, but concerned that Server 2012 R2 and IIS 8.5 might be ?

Have done a few searches thru the forums here and maybe I'm not searching on the correct phrases, but not coming up with anything specific..

If there is any documentation or hints available, would sure appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

Thanks
Blake

there should be no Problem with SQL Server 2012 or 2014, however, you will Need to install .Net 3.5.1, as DNN 4 does not Support .Net 4.x

Thanks Sebastian,

I was fairly certain the SQL side of things would be ok, and I understand the need for .NET 3.5.1 -

Is anyone aware of any issues/incompatibilities with IIS 8.5 ?

I am not Aware of any - as the .Net layer is sits between DNN and the OS

There are no known issues with IIS 8.5 (in fact I run IIS 8.5 locally for all development).  I would definitely install .Net 4.5.2 rather than 3.5.1.  .Net 4.5.1 and IIS 8 add features which improve the performance of ASP.Net applications including faster startup times.
