I created my new DNN website at http://03a78f9.netsolhost.com/ before there was a domain associated with it.

I've now moved my domain to it.  But when I go to http://www.fencer.com DNN does not display the content.

I've tried restarting the application.

What files do I need to modify?  web.config?  What and where in the file do I make the changes?  Can I just create a new portal (other than portal 0) and move the files over?

you Need to make sure, there is an entry with the Domain Name in PortalAlias table - and it is marked as Primary.

Cheers from Germany,

The Site Settings, Site Aliases is now:

Primary Site Alias Action
03a78f9.netsolhost.com/home
default.aspx?tabid=36
www.fencer.com/home/dotnetnuke
fencer.com/home
www.fencer.net/home
www.chevychasefencingfoundation.com/home

But still no change when going to www.fencer.com.

Any other suggestions?

DNN works when going to http://03a78f9.netsolhost.com/home/

In the home directory there is a web.config file with the following references to 03a78f9:

 <connectionStrings>

<!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2008/2012 Express -->

<add name="SiteSqlServer" connectionString="Server=ATL4WDPSQL01I2;Database=3_03a78f9_0;uid=3_03a78f9_0;pwd=w3HqeFZf5p;" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />

<!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2008/2012

<add name="SiteSqlServer" connectionString="Server=(local);Database=DotNetNuke;uid=;pwd=;" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />

 -->

 </connectionStrings>

<appSettings>

<!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2008/2012 Express - kept for backwards compatability - legacy modules   -->

<add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=ATL4WDPSQL01I2;Database=3_03a78f9_0;uid=3_03a78f9_0;pwd=w3HqeFZf5p;" />     <!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2008/2012 - kept for backwards compatability - legacy modules

 <add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=(local);Database=DotNetNuke;uid=;pwd=;"/>     -->

Should any of these "03a78f9" be changed to "fencer"?

Hi Raymond,

In the portal alias's try to add just www.fencer.com , without /home.

Regards,

Geoff
