The DDR menu is the primary menuing system for DNN.  It is quite flexible since at the end of the day it just renders HTML, JavaScript and CSS.  The trick to doing any menu in DNN is to figure out what HTML, JS and CSS you need if you were just writing a plain HTML page, and then convert those menu pieces into a DDR Menu template.  Doing the conversion is pretty easy, but since there are a thousand ways to do the menu, that will require a little research and effort on your part.  I would start by looking at sites like AListApart and SmashingMagazine to find good menu examples that you could make work for your site.

Hi Geo,

Just to add to what Joe has said.....

If you are talking about an "off-canvas" responsive menu system like the DnnSoftware website for mobile, here's some examples for you:

If you use one of the frameworks there are a couple of examples on how to implement the DDR menu as Joe mentioned:

By looking at the code of the above it will be quite easy to do.

To help you out with the DDR menu and to understand it a bit more here's a wiki link under this page there are "related Content" that will give you options of what type of templating system to use with the DDR menu.

Hope this helps you out,

Regards,

Geoff
