DNN 4.0.3
MS SQL 2000

No matter which module I go to, core or third party, whenever I pull up Syndicate option, it only shows this -

-

NSCA

NSCA

Nothing else, just this base stuff. Same module worked in older DNN 3.x version.

I have tried this on Text/HTML, Events, and several other modules.

The search indexing job is running - I have it running every 5 minutes but still nothing.

Thanks in advance.

I have exactly the same problem, with the same DNN and SQL versions. Also, if I every try to "Export Content" from any module (apart from Blog), I get a message "The module specified does not have any content".

I did once manage to export content from the version of Events that comes with DNN, but not again and not with the most recent version of Events.

I can get a syndicate feed from the Blog module. However, this appears to use another system to other modules (I get a different "XML" logo to the one I specifiy in my container skin).

Can anyone help?

Michal

The RSS feed uses the Search indexing - if you do a search on your site can you see the content that way?

Hi,

If I add a search module to a page, if I try to do a search I get:

An error has occurred.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.UI.Containers.ActionBase.ProcessAction(String ActionID) at DotNetNuke.UI.Containers.DropDownActions.cmdGo_Click(Object sender, ImageClickEventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

However, this behaviour is a bit unpredictable. It doesn't always appear. From a little bit of testing it seems that if the word does appear on the site, then the error occurs as long as that word wasn't the most recent word searched for, or if the search page has just been refreshed. (I'm not too sure about this but this is what is seems to do most of the time).

Never do any search results appear - either nothing or the error above.

Michal.

I have a bit more information:

I have just deleted my site and started again. I tried a few searches when I re-installed, and it seemed to work fine - if I search for the work "software" the first page comes up. If I seach for some gibberish nothing comes up. I then add a new text/html box, with a new word in that was not on the page previously. I search for that word and it finds nothing, and there is no error. I then log in as host and re-index site. I then search for that word again, the error in my previous post appears. If I search for "software" it finds it fine.

Ok... as I was writing the above the behaviour has changed. Now the problem is intermittant, and searching for the "software" or text in the new box sometimes finds it, and sometimes brings the error.

I have also just noticed that if I log out, then the search seems to always work fine, and never brings up an error.

Michal
