I have a module called'newsletters' and that's where I will be putting all our old newsletters from january onwards, so that users can access or download them anytime they wish. Now because i have so many scattered dates of the newsletters to work with and i seem to be missing some of them anyways, I was wondering if there is a way to sort all my newsletters out by date, after i have just put some random ones in the list, or how I can move the position of one of them up or down within my list.

There is no core module called Newsletters, so you must be referring to a third-party module.  There are several third-party newsletter modules I'm familiar with, and some have great archiving functions.  However the support for third-party modules isn't available on this site.  Usually the site for the developer of the third-party module will have its own forums or other support channel, or if you bought the module at SnowCovered you can use the help desk there.

Can you suggest one that I may be able to use to store old newsletters and such in?

Sure, there are several great ones.  I get the feeling NukeNews by Orizonti might be the best choice for you.
