Hi

I receive a 500 error when attempting to add a new module to a page. I've tried with my custom modules, and with DNN standard modules such as the Html control. The client scripts appear to be working, and using the various web browser inspectors, I can see that the call to add module is taking place, however the call itself receives a 500 error with no page content and the module is not added to the page. I note that there is no Page parameter set in the parameters passed to the server - is this the issue?

Regards

Stuart

does this happen as well, if you are on a blank page with default skin and container applied?

Hi Sebastian

Thanks for the reply.
By blank page do you mean a page with no other controls on? And by default skin and container, do you mean default DNN supplied skins and containers, or default skins and containers as applied to the portal (from any source?)

Stuart

Stuart,
I mean a new page without any modules, and just applied DNN Default Skin and Container (Gravity or Darknight)

Hi Sebastian
Thanks - I have sorted it out now. There was some manual data migration between this site and an old DNN 5.* site that was handled via SQL and one of the identity columns on a table was not correctly updated and was thus erroring on the module insert .

Regards
Stuart
