While I'm waiting for an answer from Ingo (tha_watcha), the ckeditor guru himself, I figured I'll ask here too just in case some of you already figured this out.

Basically I want to limit the file upload size, preferably by roles.

Right now ckeditor picks up the dnn host setting limit which cannot be set to less than 12MB and it applies to everyone.

I couldn't find any setting in ckeditor so far that would allow this.

I've been told that this should be possible to do on the application level.

Why DNN can't allow file upload size limit to be set per portal and roles?

Application level would mean IIS application (DNN). If there isn't a Setting in CkEditor Provider, I fear that is has not yet been implemented. you may submit a feature request on Codeplex, but I know, Ingo is more than busy atm.

Ingo said it's doable and he's going to do it once he has some time.

I love what he's doing for DNNYAF and CKEditor!
