Hi,

I'm building my skin using visual studio for web express 2013. as ascx files. I have my doctype set to html5, but in the header of my site it is putting out <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">

So how do I get the output to be <!DOCTYPE html>

I searched around the admin and host area and wasn't able to find anything to force an html5 doctype, or is that actually the same thing with the transitional info added to it? WC# is giving me a fit saying it is an error.

Hi Todd
You can refer to this link. Usually i change it in the doctype.xml file for the skin.

Thanks. I ended up finding it in host settings and changing it there.
