Hi,

Our site had been coming along well but we realized that we need to enable the second language via the localization feature found in the admin/languages section. Once we did this and fixed up a few pages we decided to test. Changing languages worked ok when logged in as an admin but when we switch over to a registered user the language selector no longer displays at all. There are no errors in the log files it just doesn't render. It is the same with the default skins. There has been too much work completed to start over again. Anyone have a clue how to fix this?  We are all in a panic here as the deadlines were tight to start with.

I managed to reproduce the issue on my local version as well.

to reproduce the problem have the second language pack already installed; create several pages using the gravity home skin; enable localization (host settings and button in languages);  modify some of the pages in the second language so all works;  logout and back in as a registered user and attempt to change the language. In my case the selector is not even there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Rob

Robert,

as far as I remember, the translated pages have to be published as well, otherwise you don't have the laguage selector.

Sacha Trauwaen from Belgium published a toolset to support the localization workflow, see here: https://dnncltools.codeplex.com/

Happy DNNing!
Michael
