Althought in versione 7.4.2 browser detection was fixed, from 8.0.1 on (not sure about 8.0.0) it stopped working again!!

To prove this, just perform a fresh install of an empty website in English (en-US) language. Then add a second language (i.e. it-IT). Allow for content localization (in host settings). Enable the second language in Admin > Language and then Enable Content Localization marking all existing pages as translatable.

At this point (not counting search result and the other profile realted pages) there should be just one page: Home (for English) and Home (it-IT) for Italian. So proceed localizing the Italian Home page (i.e. change the page name into Home and marking it as transalted). Then publish and Activate from Admin>Languages.

Now close the browser (after having set the preferred language to Italian) and try to access the site. It will startup in en-US even if the browser is set to it-IT.

Very annoying!
