Dear Forumers,

I am a newbie in DNN and my company has just purchased an application developed using DNN. The company that we purchased this from only provides us with the folders code and nothing else as they said their developer has left them and they themselves are not sure about how to install, setup, etc. After checking, the applications seems to be developed using DNN and what I did is installing DNN on my server and it works. However, when I try to replace the code with the one they gave and also restore database with their .bak database files, it doens't work and just gave me 404 error. I'm not sure on DNN concept, should I just replace the code, or should I add custom web under DNN module?

Appreciate some assistance.

Many thanks

you may restore the backup and files to an IIS website, but you will get a hard time without further instructions and support by the developer, if it is a custom application.
