I had a Win 2003 Server box that was being used as a web server.  Finally found the time to create a new server and used Win Server 2008 R2 for it.  I copied all my sites from the old box to the new box.  I went into IIS and configured all the sites.  All run fine except for the two sites that use DNN.  I get inconsistent access denied errors.  No rhyme or reason.  Nothing in the logs except access is denied to files or folders.  One was when I installed a module extension and the next module failed with access denied trying to create the temporary folder.   The App Pool Identity accounts all have Full Control over the folders and files.  I've reapplied the permissions dozens of times with no success.  I even tried running the app pool as administrator for a few minutes and I still get the access denied errors.  I've also moved the location of the files to different folders with no success either.

DNN Version 07.03.02 (109)  SQL Server 2012.

I'm not sure where to look at this point.  Anyone have any ideas?

Can you put a non asp.net file in the site's root folder? Maybe an image. Can you get a web browser to show it from the site's corresponding url?

Best wishes,
