I have a site that is running into some difficulties with the new dnnPageDropDown control.

The parent page (News from the Principal) is set to redirect (using the Page Settings, Link option) to a specific child page. New "News from the Principal" child pages are made by copying an existing page.

The issue is that the dnnPageDropDown control won't list the News from the Principal page (or any if its children) since it has a Link set. Is there an attribute I can add to this so that ALL pages in the portal would be included?

The types supported for filtering ar includeDisabled, includeAllTypes, includeActive and includeHostPages - I can't recall the exact data returned but perhaps includeDisabled is the attribute you need. Note there is some internal filtering also i.e. the itemlistcontroller function has a variable for includeHiddenTabs which checks if you are an admin/host

Cathal,

Thanks for the info.

Unfortunately, it gets stranger....

It looks like a specific set of circumstances prevents the pages from displaying in the list.

1. Top level menu item is a Disabled page.

2. Second level item is that page that uses a link to one of its child page.

Either way, I think a better solution is for the portal administrator to change how she's handling those pages so that code changes won't keep being required.

Okay...looks like the issue is really how far deep into the sites navigation the pages are.

If the pages are "grandchildren" (2 levels below top level), it's problematic. If the parent (redirect) page is at the top level of the site's navigation, the pages can be selected from the dnnPageDropDown control.
