I have an instance of DNN 6 with a handful of portals running on it and all of a sudden I cannot login. Here is what happens:

1. enter username and password

2. click on Login button

3. the spinning gif shows for a second then goes away

4. thats it! it just stays at the login prompt

I know for sure that the username and password are correct and I even tried another account but then again it is not even giving an error if I deliberately put a wrong password. I also recycled the app pool and restarted IIS.

Anyone out there had this happen? Any ideas of how to correct it?

Did you try a different browser?
There is a possibility your usual browser was upgraded and the login control no longer works?
try appending /logon.aspx to your site URL. Generally that page will load on a direct call

Alright, I figured it out. My SQL express 2008 DB for the instance had passed the 10GB limit. It works fine now that I have cleared the event log and shrunk the DB.
