Because I work in  2 computer, i want to move folder of dnn to other computer, i have also restore database from the other computer, and have changed the web.cfg file , but when i open the dnn from internet explorer i got this message :

 

The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )

ERROR: Could not connect to database.

Cannot open database requested in login 'DotNetNuke'. Login fails. Login failed for user 'DotNetNukeUser'.

can anyone help me out from this problem ? thank you

Did you set the relationship between DB user and SQL Server login on second computer? I think no.
 
  1. Create SQL Server login with the same name and password as DB user which is stated in connection string in web.config. You can do it with Enterprise Manger:select your second server, Securiy, Logins, Add new login.
  2. Execute following sql-instruction in your DB "sp_change_users_login 'Auto_Fix', '<UserName>'" (<UserName> - user name e.g. DotNetNukeUser)
    This will set relationship between DB user and SQL Server login and will allow DNN to connect to database.
