Hi,

We upgraded 3 different instances of a website (on 3 differents computers) from DNN 7.0.4 to DNN 7.3.4.
The upgrade process didn't show any error.

Nevertheless, it seems that the upgrade didn't created the new File Management tabs with the digital asset management module. We only have the older File Manager tabs which are empty because of the desinstallation of the FileManager module during the upgrade.

Consequently we have to add the digital asset management module on the corresponding tabs manually.I'm wondering if this is the only task that the upgrade failed.

no, you're fine. Typically this type of operation is done in upgrade.cs, and would involve changing the old file manager module instances and then uninstalling filemanager. However for some reason the dev who did the work choose to do this in the IUpgradeable implementation within the digitalassetmanager - on occasion this fails to fire (I cant recall the reason but there is at least 1 bug logged for it), which means that the existing file manager instances arent updated and the admin "file manager" page isnt replaced with an admin "file management". Whilst this approach isnt our standard, it does mean any issue is limited to those two, so if you simply add the digital asset manager to any needed pages, you dont have anything to worry about.
