@erik hinds . Thank you, your suggestion on using url rewrite module worked/

And furthermore when I disabled anonymous authentication on that subdirectory I get the DNN login page. Which allows me to authenticate users even for the static content. So when I hit static page, it directs me to login page. I enter my creds and I get the static page. This is great. Only question now is how are permissions administered for this?. In DNN pages, I can get up the permissions in the page properties. How would I do this for this static content content?
