I'm working on a site about to go live where child portals had to be made programmatically by users without Host or Admin privileges.  It involved copying settings for Catalook and ... we had written a simple procedure to do this as the last of several executed procedures.

All was working fine until for some mysterious reason with the new template in play we were getting an error that a duplicate key could not be inserted into Module Settings and by George, the very first module setting for the Registration Page during checkout in Catalook was now throwing us an error.

Turns out that when "Include Content" is checked, the module settings get included also.  Perhaps this needs to read "Include Content and Settings" but I'll leave that up to the powers that be.

After spending some time creating the settings procedures and then spending more finding why they were throwing an errory, some previously billed time will be credited.

In case this is not a generally known thing, just wanted to pass the experience along.

Best,

Mike Durthaler
