Hi,

Please help me out for running the Store project. I have visual studio 2005, sql server 2005.  I've got mail from DotNetNuke.com to download from the link http://www.aspdotnetstorefront.com/download/AspDotNetStorefront_Release_43_DEMO_93848.zip

I took the following steps:

  • I got the DemoKey no. in mail which i wrote in web.config and admin/web.config and set an EncryptKey to both web.cofig.
  • created database named AspDotNetStorefront
  • created files etc, by running given script
  • set the DBConn property in both web.cofig files
  • Now on opening the project from the visual studio 2005 it opend but did not compiled successfully. It shown error as

Error 2 It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level.  This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS. C:\NitinTest\AspDotNetStoreFront\admin\Web.config 134

In above lines the path is my project path, and the error is on line 134 which is as following 3 lines

<authentication mode="Forms">

<forms name="ASPDNSFGUIDADM" loginUrl="signin.aspx" timeout="60" />

</authentication>

  • First it did not created virtual directory in IIS, which when I created as given help, did not work and same error has came.
  • Again when I saw the code of default.aspx file there is no default.aspx.cs file found. Same for all files, .cs files are not there in directory.

PLEASE TELL ME IF THERE IS SOME WRONG WITH ME. ITS VERY URGENT !!!!

ASPDotNetStoreFront is a great product and I'm looking forward to it being available for DNN, but I don't think the DNN version is available yet.  You'd be better served by posting on their forum http://forums.aspdotnetstorefront.com/ or contacting their help desk at https://support.aspdotnetstorefront.com/.

Their staff has always been prompt answering questions.

BTW, if you have the demo version, you're not going to get their source files.  You only get the source after you purchase.
