The Problem is I deleted the default administrator user role

I was creating new Roles for my DNN 7.2 site and deleted the default administrator user role. So I created the role again and add my user back to the role. When I went to the Home page permissions tab I saw the Role in the list of Roles but the locks where gone and there were only check marks. So I went to the database and fixed the issue in the Portal Settings Table and changed the administrator roleID to use the new roleID.  I Created.  The locks are visible now. . I also went through the tab portal, module and folder permission table and replace the old ROLE id with the new administrator roleID  I created manually,  Now I log in as my Portal administrator user.  I can access all the pages and modules expect for the Control Bar> Admin Page.  Can anyone tell me what I have might have missed

not sure as it's not something i've ever done - one thing to be aware of is that roles names are case-sensitive. So for example the controlpanel contains this code : "UserController.Instance.GetCurrentUserInfo().IsInRole("Administrators")" -please ensure your role matches that spelling and casing.

the control Panel shouldn't rely on the Name, but on Administrator ID in PortalInfo.

Hi,
I have similar issues. No roles present after clean dnnd 7.4.3 installation. Is there a script to create administrator roles and add them to a portal? Or does DNN not have admin per portal anymore?

There should be an "Administrators" and "Registered Users" role per site created automatically.
You may create it manually and use https://dnnscript.codeplex.com/releas... to register it properly in Portals table.
