I looked at the FAQ here http://www.dnnsoftware.com/forums/forumid/107/threadid/105609/scope/posts but couldn't find any help with my specific problem.

I've developed a DNN site in my local environment where everything is working and migrated the web code and database to my hosting provider (1&1).

Unfortunately, I'm only getting a very unhelpful error message which says "Site Unavailable" when I browse to it at http://www.wiserdc.org.  I've updated the PortalAlias table with the new URL and verified the database connectivity.

Any help with this problem and things to do to start debugging are greatly appreciated!

I changed the customErrors option in the web.config to "Off" and now the website is reporting "Connection To The Database Failed".

I don't know how this could be since I created a test.asp file at the root of the site http://www.wiserdc.org/test.asp which reads the PortalAlias table from the database and prints it out with the exact same user, password, database and host that I am using in my DNN installation and it works fine.

Is there more to what this error message means than simple connectivity?
