We setup a new Parent Portal and now want to set it up as a Child Portal. I thought it was a two step process:

A - Change alias from sub.domain.com to domain.com/sub
B - Add "sub" to the DNN root / install directory.

When we go to http://domain.com/sub we get a "blank page". DNN is not rerouting the directory call to the target portal.

What step are we missing?

You can't switch www.domain.com into a childportal www.domain.com, as a childPortal always requires a parent portal with same domain.
You may move your DNN into an application folder /sub of your IIS website to use www.domain/sub, but you might need to adjust a number of site links in HTML content as well.

Tina,
Does "domain.com" point to your DNN installation? It needs to.
In your DNN root folder, if there's not a folder named "sub", then create it and copy "default.aspx" into that folder.
