Hi there

I'm running into an issue with the URL rewriter. When I changed the rewriter to "Advanced" from "HumanFriendly", for some reason it changed all instance of "?" and "&" into "/". So a URL that is

 http://domainname.com?id=12345

is changed to

http://domainname.com/id/12345

This is really problematic for tracking since we are using an external marketing automation service to track campaigns and emails. Any way to get around this? I'm sure I'm not the only one that ran into this issue.

 Thanks!

The behaviour is by design, to convert querystring items into friendly urls.

See this wiki article for how to stop the behaviour for specific examples:

Stop querystring parameters becoming Url Path

I have "reversed version" of this issue :)

I migrated from iFinity URL Master to DNN Advanced URL. However now URLs are not rewritten unless the URL ends with a /.

Example:
domain.com/forum/?id=12 is rewritten (correctly) to domain.com/forum/id/12
domain.com/forum?id=12 is NOT rewritten and end up as: domain.com/forum?id=12

Bruce, do you know why this is? This was NOT the behavior before migrating (and produces a lot of duplicate pages, which Google doesn't like)

Thanks.

Best regards,
Allan
