Hi All-

I'm hoping someone here can help me solve this problem.

I am not a developer, so DUMB IT DOWN :)  I have a DNN website that has mysterious user registration accounts being created. The developers have told me that they have "shut down" the ability for people to create accounts on the site. (we had a forum that's why we allowed registration in the first place) Yet, we are still getting registrations. What are some possibilities that are making this happen?  Could it be a module we are using that someone has located and they are creating these user profiles.

What we discovered is that when they are creating these user profiles they are adding links to various pages within their profiles.  Currently we are deleting these accounts as they appear, but I'd like to figure out how and where people are getting a registration screen.

The website is www.greatwesternflooring.com

Any and all advice is MORE THAN WELCOME at this point.

Thanks so much

Tracy

First, ensure self-registration is disabled. Here's an article explaining how to turn it off:

Second, review the list of modules you have installed. If you have a custom registration module, it's possible they are using it.

Third, check your list of pages under the admin link. See if you have a custom registration page. If so, disable it.

Tracy,
older DNN versions didn't block the feature correctly when turning off registration. Please make sure, you have upgraded to DNN 7.3.4
