Hi folks:

I just launched my site today. I have the preferred Site Alias to be www.piercesteel.com

A secondary alias of piercesteel.com has been set (not the primary).

I have successfully added this to google analytics and webmaster tools.

In web master tools, in using google webmaster tools to tell it to use www.piercesteel.com as the primary, it requires me to setup piercesteel.com in google webmaster tools.

When I go to add this site to the web master tools, I'm having problems verifying. It is because (i think) that when I press the verify button on the web master tools, google tries to go the site (piercesteel.com) and it's redirecting automatically to www.piercesteel.com

So I'm not sure how I can get this site verified when it's so quickly redirecting. (I have both the google html file and the google meta tag setup, but my belief is that the redirection is occuring immediately and never letting the site be brought up as piercesteel.com

strange thing is: I developed the site using a temporary dns name provided by the hosting company. the site comes up under the temporary DNS name and does not redirect.

How do I tell dnn to NOT redirect the site piercesteel.com to www.piercesteel.com?

Just when I think I'm getting a handle on dnn, something stupid comes along that reminds me I've got a ways to go yet.

AFAIR that's a function of the rewriter (that rewriters site.com to www.site.com) - it can be controlled via canonical urls AFAIR - http://www.dnnsoftware.com/Content/Dn...

Ok, I went to the site, set the SiteAlias mapping mode to none.

i clicked update.

i then tried to go to piercesteel.com and it still instantly redirected to the www.piercesteel.com site...
