You don't need to know, as the term "{objectQualifier}" (mind lowercase/uppercase letters!) is automatically replaced by the correct objectQualifier of your DNN installation by this module (placed in Host :: SQL) (in most cases, there is none, so it is replaced by an empty string). Same for "{databaseOwner}" - this might be different to dbo, esp. in shared hosting environments.

As far as I can see there is no foreign key reference with EventLog as master table.

"dbo" is not the name of the database, but of the database owner. When you use the Host :: SQL module, you don't need to know this name (see my post before). Just enter

TRUNCATE TABLE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}EventLog

and execute it. If you want to keep some of the records, take my first advice.

(Please note: In former DNN versions, there is a checkbox below the SQL statement box to "Execute as script" - please check this before running if applicable).

Put in actually copied your last post
TRUNCATE TABLE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}EventLog
 and the program returned:

Cannot truncate table 'dbo.EventLog' because it is being referenced by a FOREIGN KEY constraint.

TRUNCATE TABLE dbo.EventLog

The next item is ? Foreign Key Constraint.

Kind of understand - but at the same time also lost - I checked your reference to DBCC SHRINKBASE and it makes sense- but I'm not getting through the first issue - its hard to correct part 2 if I I don't have part 1.

Michael, as I stated before, this statement works on DNN up to version 7.3.4 only.
For users of DNN 7.4.0 "DELETE FROM {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}EventLog" won't work, please see my Blog post for details and solution: http://www.dnnsoftware.com/community-...
