Hello,

I have a DNN site where I am planning to setup a community site. For that I was working with Profile settings available at Admin >> Site settings >> User account settings >> Profile settings. I have created enough required fields and there is no problem with them now. But I could see a problem when I create a new Profile property. IT is asking for all the details including the "Required" and "Visibility" Flag. I have selected them to not required that is I have unchecked the checkbox. Please check in screenshot in the link
below:

After clicking next button and moving on to the next page where we will be entering the Property Name and other details like error message and validation expression etc. Then Click on Update. Now it going back to the Site settings >> User account settings page but the in the profile settings area, upon checking the Profile elements, I was puzzled to see that the "Required" Flag is active for the element. Please see the screenshot in the link below:

I am not sure whether it is a bug in DNN software since it is default site settings which comes along with DNN installation. Could someone please help me to find out what is causing this?

Thanks and Regards,
Srinath SM

which DNN version are you running?
I remember an issue being reported, it might already been fixed in DNN 7.4.0, or it was fixed for 7.4.1, please check at support.dnnsoftware.com.
If you cannot edit via UI, you might update the setting directly in the database, table ProfilePropertyDefinition.
