Hi, I'm having some trouble with the new FCK provider. It's about the upload feature. Eventhough I've given the upload permission to me and my registered users, no one seems to be able to upload anything. When clicking the upload button, it shows a dialog which says that I don't have enough permission to upload files (even when I'm login as an admin!) Any one knows why?

Thanks.

Verify:

1) The user trying to upload has WRITE permissions to that folder

2) The file extension you are trying to upload is allowed on host settings

3) The asp.net account has permission to write on your DNN instance (You can check this by uploading using the file manager under admin menu)

Regards

1. Yes, the user had WRITE permission to the folder he uploaded into

2. The file I tried to upload was JPEG, it's allowed in Host settings

3. I tried to upload using the file manager and it works fine

The only change I've made was the file extension allowed in web.config. I removed bmp from the list. That's all.

Any idea? It's kind of weird.

Thanks for your help!

The provider uses the same routines as the file manager.

Be sure to catch the difference (Talking about filenames) between .jpg and .jpeg

Can you post the allowed type of your host settings and the line for allowed image types from your web.config?

And

I need details about the steps your are following to upload (What button is used, etc)

I've used FCK for a long time and I know exactly how to upload images through the provider.

Here's the detail

I tried to upload a file called image.jpg as host, admin and registered user

1. Host | uploaded succesfully

2. Admin | Security error. You probably don't have enough permission to upload. Please check your server

3. Registered user | (the same error)

P.S - I'm using DNN 3.3.1 (upgraded from 3.2.2)
