I was running Events 6.1.4 and have a module set to List Mode using a repeater with no tables and a Div Layout with tooltips.  This was working fine until I upgraded to 6.2.1 and now the tooltip appears to be stuffed in a title tag using a table structure.

NOTE: The tooltip works fine in the Month View.

I checked my customized templates and they are the same as before.

I have also tried IE, FF, Chrome restarting and clearing all caches.  Restarted App Pool in IIS.

Also tried a single Events module on one page using default (Gravity) Skin and Container.

No observed javascript errors in any browser.

Anyone else seen this?

Hi David,

The tooltips are a set of table html, which should be stored in the relevant title tag so that the Telerik tooltipmanager can render them. You should find a Sys.Application.add in your page source which starts '$create(Telerik.Web.UI.RadToolTipManager' In it you would find a list of controls that the tooltipmanager will render.

If you compare between your month view and repeater view, you can identify if the page is set up wrong or not. I'm not going to be able to fix code, but may be able to point you in the right direct.

OK, I've had a look on my site, it looks like the controls aren't being added correctly to radtooltip manager. For the repeater it should have a control entry that looks like 'ctlEvents_Mod_1072_RptRowBody_5' I think (I'd have to see a working one to be sure), but they all are duplicates of 'dnn_ctr1072_Events_EventRpt'.

I'd suggest you raise this as a bug...

To be honest, I haven't even added the tooltip token to the test on repeater view I just did, so it shouldn't have added the tooltip at all. So it maybe it is adding unnecessary tooltip info that is confusing things.

As a work around you might be able to use this - http://rtptooltip.codeplex.com/ - a model a wrote some years ago. Put a copy on the relevant page then you have two options:

1 - Auto Tooltipify which will tooltip everything with a title attribute
2 - Enter client IDs

I'd take the second route. You can see the clientids when looking at the page source, and they shouldn't change at all, even when paging (I think!). As long as you don't show hundreds of entries you should be OK.

Hmm, just done another test. When I add the repeater token, the tooltips don't get added to the page at all. When I remove it again, they still don't show. No idea, I'm lost.
