Is the list of available styles and editarea css working in dynamic mode with 4.3.2? I have tried to follow the instructions in another thread, but can't get anything to appear in the list of styles.

The dynamic styles filter is a good idea, but maybe the text box should be bigger, eg multiline.

Yes. It is working. You must set both: XML and CSS to dynamic

If you post here all the steps you are following, maybe we could help

Yes, this will be fixed on the next release

XML? Does that mean I need an xml file with the styles defined in it? I thought the style list would be extracted from the skin.css.

Anyway, here is what I did. I log in as admin, and add a new text/html module to a page. The Edit Text, and tick the "Show custom editor options for this instance " checkbox. Choose Settings Type = Portal.

List of available styles:
Style list generation mode  -> Dynamic
Dynamic styles filter -> Copy host default filter
Custom XML file: -> leave as is (URL button is selected) - Location blank

Edit Area CSS:
   CSS Generator mode:  -> Dynamic
Custom CSS file:  -> leave as is (UR: button is selected) - Location blank

Click Apply Settings to Portal.
CLear Browser cache and reload the page.

Go to the text box on the page and Edit Text. Select some text and click on styles - nothing listed.

I'm using DNN 4.3.2 and the latest provider on the DNN website.

OK, I installed the fckeditor on my target website, and when I tried to set the styles to dynamic I got an error:-

Error loading:
"Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/FckHtmlEditorProvider/FCKStyles.aspx?tabid=36&FCKStyleFilter=controlpanel|filemanager|mainmenu|wizard"

So I removed the filter, and applied. Then the style list displayed OK, and it looks good.

I added the default filter again, and it still worked. Same on my test site.
Although adding other items to the filter doesn't seem to take effect. Maybe some caching problem.

ps. I clear the browser cache using the IE Developer Toolbar. Does that clear the cache in the way intended.

It seems to be a bug when customizing the filter.

Please leave the filter empty when applying custom settings for the provider.

I will try to fix it soon
