I am trying to create a completely responsive website and would like to use a.svg graphic for the site logo, but DNN prevents me from uploading or using an SVG graphic, although the filetype is authorized in the host settings.

does anyone know how to do this?

you need to grant .svg as allowed Extension in Host Settings.

Sebastian,
James said SVG is authorized in his host settings.

James,
I think the problem is that there's a filter applied to the drop-down/selection list for the portal Logo file.
I'm seeing, in the code, that there's some type of global list of image file extensions. Not sure where that list is, though, and how it could be modified.
I suspect that's what you're going to need to do other than modifying the skin itself and embedding the SVG file in the skin itself (instead of a logo placeholder).

The issue is that this is not a case of not having the proper upload extensions defined but rather that DNN also has a list of valid image extensions. Just go into the list editor (host menu) and add an entry to the ImageTypes list. Once you update the list, you should be free to use that image type in any of the image upload controls.

Adding the extension in Via the list editor in the Host menu worked.

Thank You
