I'm really struggling with the newsletter module. I have been for some time. I am seeing this on multiple websites (not same DNN install). So far i have tested it from 7.1.2 up to 7.4.0

It seems that if the list of recipients list has any more than 100 (I've tried sending to small groups and I'm able to get a few sent out) but anything more than a handful just fails. No errors in event logs, no confirmation that bulkmail failed or completed. All of my sites are using google apps and the webmaster email address still has plenty left for the day (2000 daily limit not even close).

For example, tonight I tried to send to a role with 322 users in it. I setup the newsletter and sent it asynchronously. I got the email stating that it started. I watched the sent items for the webmaster account. It got 74 emails in the the 322 and just stops.

I realize this is going to be hard to test but also is probably why this has been acting like this for several versions now.

Any ideas?

Are you selecting the users by role or by ndividual addresses?
We are sending out thousands of Newsletters with the module w/o Problems, but you Need to make sure the thread doesn't get killed, e.g. by an app restart.
For the list of recipients, there is a size limit for the adressee list by .Net, AFAIR.

I am having trouble with this also - it has worked in the past and appears to work locally, but on my production site there is no way to pick the users. Locally, I just start typing in the "Send to users or roles" field and it will prompt me with existing users and roles. However, on the production site it is not acting the same - it is like the script for the page is not running. I can install a new site on the host and it works as expected, but this site has something wrong and I need fix it if I can. Any ideas are appreciated.
