Hello!

We have recently upgraded DNN core from 7.2.0 to 7.4.0 due issues with caching nad page load speed. Now we are facing a problem with "Edit mode". Time to switch between View and Edit mode is around 2 minutes (!).

What is interesting is, that this is happening only on parent portal. All other (child) portals are OK (relatively fast switch between View and Edit mode). Is there any known solution to this error.

All suggestions are welcome. Thank you for your help.

does it take that Long for the Server to serve the page or the Client to build it (use the Network tab in dev Tools of your browser to see, how fast the page gets send). If it is the Client, turn on Client code error Display in your browser to see, whether there is a bug or a timeout, otherwise check the eventlog for hidden Errors.

Sebastian, thank you very much for the prompt reply! The main problem is, that it takes around 2 minutes to achive "first byte" - so server response. I personally think that problem is not "script" related (missing JS libraries, etc..).

 Screenshot below:

There is nothing useful in Event log & Console tab (Client side developer tools) sections - no critical errors.

did you check DNN Event Log as well?
it might also be caused by the database, did you check size of DB file and Transaction log?

Yes, of course. There is nothing (helpful) in event log. We've done what you suggested. The transaction log is now shrinked to smaller size - 200MB. The file size before was quite larger. :)

Screenshot of the current size below:

The problem still remains the same..

Thank you for your kind help.
