I have installed a dnn and I am able to add pages and modules to the default install. Proble is when I add a new portal www.Myportal.com and click the "Create portal" menu I get a "PAGE CANNOT BE FOUND" IE error. I have experimented with these aliases but no show

www.MyPortal.com/Dotnetnuke and www.MyPortal.com.

I have looked in the Corresponding Portals/PortalID folder but there are only three files there; portal.css and some jpeg files.

Can someone assist please.

Usually that error is because DNS and/or IIS are not configured properly; so after creating the portal you are redirected to the new site, but the new URL doesn't come up.

I have creates a Corresponding website in IIS. I have set the Home Directory to ./Portals/PortalID

I have tested the site with a simple Index.htm as default page and that works but the portal does not. What do I need to set?

Ah, that's the problem then.

There's actually no need to create a separate site in IIS.  All the portals can go to the same IIS site.  However, sometimes people don't configure host headers.  In your case though the issue is that the home directory shouldn't be set to the portalid, actually the home directory is the root for every site.

Really though, I suggest you have them all as one site in IIS as well.

I am almost there. I have put it all in one site and I can now create the portals. However when I try to connect to my www.Myportal.com from the network I get an "Under construction" page which is the same page you get when you try to browse the default website. What do I need to set to rectify this. I have already set the home page for my portal.
