Hi,

Has anyone installed DNN in Sql Server Web Edition? It's compatible and works well on that vesion?

Please, if anyone can tell me about your experience in compatibility and performance would be great. Thinking that it runs on a web site with 15.000 transactions per day.

Thanks!

DNN works well with all Versions of SQL Server including Web Edition and Express (2008 and later, not LocalDB)
Web Edition should be fine for your load, if you experience peformance issues, you may try my TurboDNN scripts (See https://dnnscript.codeplex.com)

It's not sufficient to just mention the software and the transactions per day.

You will need sufficient hardware and you need to know something of how that load is spread over the day. 15K/day would be an average of 0.17/second. If the peak is say 10*the average that is still under 2/second. That's a very light load.

If all your load happens in, say, a 20 minute peak; that would average over 12/second and be a completely different story.

Best wishes,

As DNN usually does a lot of caching, SQL Server Web Edition should be able to handle it easily
(even though the DNN developers worked hard to create inefficient database code)
