Hi,

I've got DNN 4.0.3 installed my local machine running XP SP2 and IIS 5.1 connecting to a remote SQL2000 server for the database. No problems.

I'm trying to deploy the DNN folder onto a development machine for testing purposes so that others can hit it as well. I figured I could copy the folder over and resolve any issues as they came up. This machine is running Windows Server 2003 and IIS 6.0 - the problem I have is that when I hit the site, I get the BC30002: Type 'PortalSettings' is not defined. error in default.aspx:

objTab = objTabs.GetTabByName(Request.QueryString("TabName"), CType(HttpContext.Current.Items("PortalSettings"), PortalSettings).PortalId)

So I downloaded the source - cracked it open in VS.NET 2K5 and it also complained that the PortalSettings object was not fully qualified (as the DNN.Entities.Portals namespace was not Imported).

My question is.... how can it work on my box and yet complain on the other box when I'm using the same assemblies from the Install package? As well, does the PortalSettings object need to be fully qualified with the namespace?

Thank you,

Suky
